Seat piping, or welt, has been used by classic and modern vehicle trimmers to give their seats structure and definition as well as an elegant design feature for many years
We supply and fit high-quality and durable camper van flooring. Our fitters have vast experience in commercial and domestic flooring, which allows for us to achieve a high-quality finish.
This is single piping. Piping that simply goes around the edge of the seat.
Double piping not only goes around the edges of the seat, but also separates the inserts from the centre panel.
No piping is recommended if you are having real leather, the reason being the piping is leatherette and will wear faster than the real leather.
The standard Bentley X-stitch shows the stitching end before the edge of the seat and doesn’t meet the piping.
Full Bentley X-stitch extends to the front of the seat and meets the piping/stitching
Full-Full Bentley cross stitch is the term we use when the stitching extends not just to the edge of the seat, but also wraps around as you can see from this image
The horizontal small has smaller gaps between the lines of stitching in the centre panel
The horizontal wide has larger gaps between the lines of stitching in the centre panel
